ASABE is pleased to announce the appointment of Sudhagar Mani as the new editor in chief of ASABE journals.
Mani is a professor in the School of Chemical, Materials, and Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering, and an adjunct professor in the Department of Food Science & Technology, College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences at the University of Georgia. He instructs undergraduate and graduate students in fundamental and advanced engineering courses and conducts research. His extensive expertise lies in biological and chemical process modeling, simulation, optimization, sustainable biomass feedstock supply logistics, and innovative biomass conversion technologies.
"I am excited to serve as the editor in chief for ASABE Journals and am committed to enhancing their growth, visibility, and reputation nationally and internationally," says Mani. "ASABE journals provide a unique platform for publishing groundbreaking convergence research, novel designs, and innovative solutions that leverage advanced biotech, digital, and AI tools to tackle global challenges within the bioeconomy, impacting agriculture, livestock, food, forest, and aquatic systems."
Mani envisions ASABE journals "evolving into a global bioeconomy resource hub for practicing engineers, scientists, researchers, young professionals, and other external stakeholders.”
Elected a Fellow in 2023, Mani is a 23-year member of ASABE.
