TC 347 Scope

Standardization in the field of big-picture, data-driven, principled-decision-making, multi-objective optimization of agricultural and food systems. This includes interoperability challenges such as:

Agrisemantics
Sustainability models, metrics and data in agrifoodsystems
Livestock activities data management
Greenhouse, controlled environment, and urban farming

Excluded: standardization covered by ISO/TC 34 Food Products and ISO/TC 23 SC 19 Agricultural Electronics. A strategic objective of the proposed Data-Driven Agrifood Systems committee is to concentrate expertise on data management to serve as a resource for other relevant committees and, where appropriate, work in liaison and on joint projects with existing committees

Participate in TC 347

Thank you for your interest in the new ISO US TAG 347, for Data-driven Agrifood Systems, administered by ASABE

For a modest fee, participants can join ASABE, support the extensive administrative requirements necessary to carry out this important work, and enjoy multiple benefits of Society membership. To join ASABE, follow this complete your registration and please send an email to verify your selection to Jean Walsh.

Although strongly encouraged, ASABE membership is not required. A non-member information form can be found to the right to complete and return it if you do not wish annual ASABE membership. If you do wish to become a member.

Enrollment on the committee will be completed upon receipt of either the member information form or ASABE membership.

TC 347 Membership Options

Participants may elect one of two membership options in TC347:

Voting—full participation expected
Observing—participate as you are comfortable

Note: Any single organization is limited to three Voting members in any technical committee or subcommittee. All other members from that organization will be assigned Observing status.

Non–ASABE Member Participation

ASABE membership is highly encouraged for participation in TC 347 activities. Those wishing to participate without the benefits of ASABE membership must complete this interest form.
