Leadership Connections in the Lone-Star State
ASABE President-Elect Designee Travis Tsunemori hosted Executive Director Cedric Calhoun at Kubota’s US headquarters and proving grounds. Taking advantage of a personal trip Calhoun had taken to the DFW area, the two discussed ASABE strategies and the upcoming ASABE Annual International Meeting.
While there, Calhoun had the opportunity to operate some Kubota equipment—and didn't pass up the occasion to enjoy some of Tsunemori's favorite local barbecue. |

Nominations Sought for Society Leadership
With the close of the 2025 elections and new officers poised to take their positions at the close of the annual meeting in July, it's time to prepare for the 2026 leadership ballot.
Nominees are being sought for president-elect and three trustee positions. Open nominating positions include E-2050, EOPD, ESH, PAFS, District 1, District 3, and District 5. Those on the Nominating committee will be thoughtfully securing candidates for the slate presented in January 2026 for ballot by general membership. The committee comprises representatives for each of the Society's technical and geographic units, as well as the international membership. The staggered terms are for two years.
Those wishing to suggest nominations are encouraged to submit names and supporting materials to a member of the Nominating committee by July 1.
Current committee members are as follows: |

Welcome, Student Leaders to AIM
Join us in extending a warm welcome to the 2025 cohort of the Student Rally Leadership Networking Program (SRLNP), who will be attending this year's annual meeting. These young leaders from the California/Nevada region, the Southeast region, and the Midwest region represent schools that will host the coming year’s rallies and schools with nascent student branches.
Special acknowledgment goes to the 2026 regional rally host schools (UC Davis, University of Arkansas, and Purdue University) as well as the 2025 “most deserving” or “up-and-coming” schools (Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, NC A&T, and University of Kentucky). The SRLNP organizing committee is grateful to the schools and to the ASABE KEYS fund for providing student travel support.

Now in its fourth year, the SRLNP impacts on increasing leadership capabilities among ASABE's student community are striking. Students come away with a broader understanding of the profession, a greater appreciation of professional development opportunities within the Society, and promising ideas for energizing their home branches.
Interested in learning more about the program? Attend the P-131 committee meeting during AIM for more information and to meet the 2025 SRLNP student leaders.
