Illini Pullers Capture IQS Trophy
 The University of Illinois has claimed the Wehner-Detra Traveling Trophy and the $1,500 first-place prize at the 29th Annual ASABE International Quarter-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition, held May 29–31 in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. It was the third time the Illini Pullers have won the competition, the first two championships having come in 2009 and 2010.
The University of Nebraska earned second place and $1,200, followed by Purdue University in third ($900), Kansas State University in fourth ($700), and the University of Missouri in fifth ($500).
Twenty-three university teams from across the United States and Canada competed across three days of design judging, oral presentations, and on-course performance events, with activities split between the McLean County Fairgrounds and the Marriott hotel.

LICENSURE
PE Licensure Sessions Begin July 8
 Whether you're starting your PE exam prep or sharpening it, ASABE's PE licensure study sessions combine expert guidance, peer support, and hands-on practice. Sessions begin July 8 and run biweekly through the October 28 exam. Check the ASABE calendar for dates and times.
Each 90-minute session targets a different exam component, with practice problems that mirror real exam questions. You'll also hear directly from engineers who've passed the PE exam, sharing strategies and what to expect on test day.
Small-group and one-on-one mentorship round out the program, giving you tailored support to stay accountable and confident through exam day.

Become an ASABE Certified Reviewer
Continuing Professional Development Session
2026 Annual International Meeting
Tuesday, July 14, 5:15 – 6:15 pm
Registration: $10
Join us this summer at the annual meeting in Indianapolis for a special session to become certified as an ASABE reviewer. Learn about the peer-review process and how to write a helpful peer-review report. Discuss best practices and approaches with other ASABE reviewers.
This CPD is targeted at newer authors and reviewers but is open to all. Participants will receive certificates at the completion of the CPD noting their designation as ASABE Certified Reviewers. Register through the AIM registration portal.

Every year, hundreds of papers are published in ASABE journals. The high quality of ASABE'S peer-reviewed journals could not be maintained without volunteers willing to spend hours evaluating author manuscripts and making suggestions for improvements. We thank and congratulate those who are singled out this year for recognition.
Outstanding Reviewers
The reviewer recognition program developed by the Journal Editorial Board honors up to 21 outstanding reviewers each year. For the 2025 publication year, more than 539 reviewers participated in the review process. During the year, associate editors ranked reviewer timeliness and review quality. Each technical community then selects an allotted number of reviewers based on the number of manuscripts reviewed.

The P-511 Journal Editorial Board honors outstanding associate editors each year. Community Editors of individual technical communities first submitted nominees based on workload, timeliness, and review quality over the previous three years from more than 180 associate editors.
