Hello everyone! The Annual International Meeting (AIM) is just around the corner and the International Student Branch (ISB) is super excited to announce two events for undergraduate students attending AIM!

Join us for the ISB social, which will be on Sunday, July 13, 6:00 – 7:00 pm. This event is a great way to kick off your AIM experience by meeting new peers, learning about ISB, and sharing ideas.

ISB will also be hosting a business meeting on Tuesday, July 15, 3:00 – 4:30 pm, where we will elect officers for the upcoming year. Candidates will deliver brief speeches, followed by a vote by all members present. Your voice matters and we hope to see you there.

Keep an eye out for the AIMGO card! It is our fun take on bingo that encourages students to explore all AIM has to offer. It is full of exciting challenges that will help you meet new people, get involved, and discover more about ASABE.

We hope you are having a good summer and can't wait to see you!

NC State Makes It Two in a Row

North Carolina State University, champions for the first time in 2024, made it two in a row, as the Pack Pullers claimed top honors in this year's International 1/4-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition.

Finishing in a tie for second place were Kansas State University and South Dakota State University. Rounding out the top five were the University of Kentucky, in fourth place, and Purdue University, in fifth. This year’s competition drew 23 teams from the U.S. and Canada and included a first-time competitor, Oregon State University.

Don't Fear the Lateral Move

Success can be kinda like a line dance. It doesn't always move in a straight direction—side steps can take you further than you might think.

Recent research from a number of sources suggests that your job satisfaction and career trajectory can benefit from lateral moves. They allow you to broaden your skills and professional network, and they help keep mental stimulation high.

So when an interesting opportunity comes your way, don't be afraid to sliiiiide to the left. . . or sliiiide to the right. . .
