We love President Keith Tinsey’s #ASABEstory, explaining how his membership in ASABE has benefited him personally and professionally throughout his career.

We’re betting you have an #ASABEstory of your own. Share it with us in this year’s New Faces of ASABE contest, and it could earn you some cash!

And because we know that some of the best stories may come from those with a longer ASABE history, this year we’re adding a second contest division, for those age 35 and up.

Tell us your #ASABEstory!

Explain, illustrate, sing, dance, draw, or otherwise creatively show the world how membership in ASABE has benefitted you personally or professionally.

Entries will be judged on content requirements; strength and clarity of message; creativity; production quality; effectiveness of time used. ASABE may share content in advance of announcing winners, and popularity of videos, as expressed by ‘Likes’ and ‘Shares,’ may be used to determine final rankings.

Requirements

  • Video must be recorded in .mp4 format in portrait orientation, suitable for posting as a Facebook Reel.
  • Length must not exceed 90 seconds.
  • Team entries allowed, but all participants must be ASABE members. If age of team members crosses contest divisions, entrant may select the entry category that best reflects the proportional contributions of the participants.
  • Entries must be original, previously unpublished work.
  • Videos must be presented in English but may include enhancements for other audiences
  • Creative content, such as music, must be in the public domain. Use of copyrighted material will result in disqualification.
  • Entries will be considered complete when receipt of all materials has been acknowledged by ASABE.
  • Entrants agree to grant ASABE non-exclusive rights to use video entries in whole or in part.
  • Enter by Sunday, April 2, 2023, midnight eastern US time.

New Faces 2023 – Terms

By entering the ASABE NEW FACES VIDEO COMPETITION (hereafter referred to as “the contest”), I:

  1. acknowledge that I am age 18 or older;
  2. am providing a copy of written permission from any other individuals appearing in my video to use their images;
  3. affirm that no copyrighted material has been used in this video;
  4. agree to be bound by the decisions of ASABE and judges which are final and binding in all matters, including any decision not to award any prizes or recognition;
  5. grant ASABE and its designees the right, unless prohibited by law, to use their names, cities and states of residence, voices, pictures, and likenesses, without compensation, notification, or permission, for the purpose of advertising and publicity in any and all media, now or after known, throughout the world in perpetuity;
  6. grant ASABE non-exclusive rights to use and distribute my entry, and portions thereof, in perpetuity without limitation, compensation, or additional notification or permission.
  7. agree to release, indemnify, and hold ASABE harmless for liability, damages, or claims for injury or loss to any person or property (including death) relating to, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, participation in this contest, the acceptance and/or subsequent use or misuse of any of the prizes awarded (including any travel or activity release thereto), claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy;
  8. acknowledge ASABE is not responsible for misdirected, inaccurate, incomplete, lost, late, delayed, undelivered, damaged, or illegible entries, and all such entries will be void.  ASABE is not responsible for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind.  ASABE reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or prematurely conclude the contest should any computer virus, malfunction, fraud, tampering, unauthorized intervention, or other cause beyond ASABE’s ’s control corrupt the administration, security, or proper operation of the contest.  If the contest is cancelled, ASABE may, in its sole discretion, judge all eligible entries received up to time of such action.  False or deceptive entries or acts will render the entrant ineligible and ASABE reserves the right to disqualify any entrant (and void his/her entry) who attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of the contest by tampering with any website mechanism, acts in a disruptive manner, or violates these rules.
  9. acknowledge that my entry is not complete until submission of this form, and all required materials, has been acknowledged by ASABE.
