The Lalit and Aruna Verma Award for Excellence in Global Engagement recognizes outstanding contributions made towards global advancement and recognition of the profession of agricultural and biological engineering, and excellence in global engagement and international education, outreach, and/or research. 

It will be presented each year at the ASABE Annual International Meeting and/or at an ASABE global engagement event.

The award shall be given annually. If in any given year no nomination is deemed worthy by the review committee, no award shall be given that year. All nominations of candidates made in any year shall be considered for a period of at least three years going forward.

Lalit and Aruna Verma endowed this award in 2016 and it was first awarded in 2017.

Submission Deadline: October 31.

Nomination Instructions: Please view this document in order to find the materials required for a nomination. All award nomination materials must be submitted on the Major Awards Nominations website.  The nomination website will open for 2019 submissions by September 15th, 2018.
